Taxpayer Identification Number

To obtain an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) you will need to complete a form W-7 : application for an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number, available from the Internal Revenue Service

You will also need to provide the U.S. Consulate General with the originals of at least two forms of identification, such as your passport and birth certificate. These original documents must be photocopied and certified by a U.S. Consular officer as certified copies. Non-U.S. notarizations will NOT be accepted.

You should then mail the completed W-7 form, together with these notarized or certified copies to:

Please type your application. Your ITIN should be processed and mailed to you within 8 - 10 weeks.
