Defense Attaché Office

USDAO Wellington represents the U.S. Department of Defense in New Zealand, serves as the military advisor to the Chief of Mission, and liaises with the New Zealand Defense Force. USDAO Wellington also performs the following functions:

1. Manages the U.S. Security Assistance and military-to-military programs.
2. Provides support for all official DOD visitors to New Zealand.

The Privacy Act prohibits this office from directly searching for prior military personnel. Please see FAQ's.
