Please don’t bring other people to your interview unless you need special assistance, such as interpreting or help with a wheelchair.

All Non Immigrant Visa applicants MUST complete the DS -156 (EVAF) form online. Please do not print the form off and complete this form by hand. If you do, you will NOT be interviewed. Online application website: http://evisaforms.state.gov/

The Non-immigrant Visa Section (NIV):

Applicants from the New Zealand Government, on official travel to the United States are exempt from an interview and  payment of the visa processing fee. These applicants may get their application processed by mail and should contact the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade for information.

However, New Zealand Government officials traveling to the United States on private visits require a visa and will have to come to the Consulate General in Auckland for a personal interview and pay the visa processing fee.
